As a PE-certified Specialist, a student has completed all of the necessary courses and has successfully passed the certification exam. Once the individual is certified, he or she is able to sit for the civil engineering licensing exam.

In addition to the various civil engineering jobs that can be found throughout the state of Michigan, the professionals can also find employment in national firms as well. There are companies throughout the United States that specialize in building construction, and the graduates that work there will be able to gain employment with a variety of different firms. The majority of these firms require PE-certified specialists in order to apply, so it is important for those individuals to get their education from a reputable institution in the state.
